Hi all. I tried to play a music cd on my computer a few minutes ago and I got this dialog saying there was active content on the cd, and I was asked if I wanted to allow the active content. I hit the no button because I wasn't sure what the active content was. Ok som I have a few questions. What is active content? And are these ces safe to pay in window media player or winamp? In case anybody is wondering the cd I was trying to play was the soundtrack to Lord of the rings fellowship of the ring.

It's usually pictures or some sort of slide show, sometimes a game that comes with a cd. If it's something that's official like the lord of the rings soundtrack, that you know you bought at the store yourself, it's probably not harmful to your comp, though often times the content is visual and not much use if you don't have enough vision to see it.
